The Joy of Sake holds events throughout the year in the firm belief that the best way to learn about sake is through actual tasting experiences.

The annual program centers around main events in Honolulu, San Francisco, New York and Tokyo which provide an unparalleled perspective on the great variety of delicious sakes being produced today. Follow-up "Aftertaste" sessions focus on specific areas of sake appreciation.

The Joy of Sake is a non-profit organization whose mission is sake education.

The Joy of Sake

The Joy of Sake is the largest sake tasting held outside of Japan and provides a once-a-year opportunity to taste the world?s finest sakes in peak condition.

This year?s event presents over 300 sakes to taste including 164 not available in the United States and gold and silver award-winning entries from the 2010 U.S. National Sake Appraisal.

Sake appetizers will be served from the following restaurants: 15 East, Matsugen, SushiSamba, Hibino, Bond Street, En Japansese Brasserie, Sakagura, 1 or 8, Geisha, Oms/b, Woo Lae Oak, Tanuki Tavern and more.

$20 of every ticket purchased will be donated to Citymeals-on-Wheels.
